Help PawPeds to help breeders and keep our cats healthy

PawPeds offer essential tools for cat breeders. For each cat breed you can do pedigree analysis back to the foundation, calculate inbreeding coefficients, and keep track of health problems. Our health programs that exist for each breed, helps breeders make the best decisions for their breed, and also supplies important data for research purposes to understand health issues better within a breed. Worldwide a lot of breeders are using the PawPeds databases, some even on a daily basis :)

PawPeds is offering these tools for the breeder community (and all other people who are interested) for free. This because PawPeds believes the information should be available for everyone. PawPeds is created and kept running by breeders and enthusiasts who volunteer their time and money. In return PawPeds gives back to the cat breeder and enthusiasts community with tools and information. However to keep innovating and make the processes faster, easier and to expand with new health programs, new pedigree breeds, new features on the pedigree databases, money is needed.

What are your donations used for?

For presenting 10 generations pedigrees, and calculating inbreeding coefficients back to Foundation, a lot of calculation capacity is needed, so it needs a large and stable infrastructure that can handle the large capacity and demand. This costs yearly a lot of money to keep it running, to update it, to keep it secure etc.

We also need and want to innovate certain systems. The first things we want to do are:

We are planning to digitalize the HCM health program, to make registration and publication faster and easier.

We want to implement a new health program for Patella Luxation for a few cat breeds.

I am Debbie Sprenger and I am one of the volunteers with a focus on the PawPeds health programmes. I have started this campaign because for a while there is a lack of donations which is jeopardizing the future of PawPeds. As a breeder myself, I cannot be a good breeder without the PawPeds tools, I find it very important that PawPeds is able to continue and to make necessary innovations, to give back more value to all breeders. I have created this campaign on behalf of PawPeds, their representative will be able to collect the donations in Swedish currency (SEK). 100 SEK is 8,83 EUR and 9,82 USD.
