Help Pay for Ellie the Hedgehog's Surgery

Hi, I am a recently graduated student living in Boston, MA. I adopted my hedgehog last year, and she has been a happy, curious, friendly pet and I love her so much. Her name is Ellie, named after one of my idols, Eleanor Roosevelt.

After work yesterday, I discovered the worst possible sight - my hedgehog waking up with a completely bloody face. I freaked out and inspected her, and saw that her eye was falling out and bleeding. I rushed her to the two different Emergency Pet Hospitals to have emergency eye surgery.

I broke down crying when they told me the cost of the surgery. I live in Boston, so rates are already high, but also because I was seeking emergency surgery, costs were astronomical. The low estimate for the surgery was $1,699.11, and that was only after I begged the doctor to be as conscious of cost as possible. The high estimate was almost $800 more at $2,446.50. But, even the lowest estimate was higher than I make in a paycheck.

To pay for the surgery, I had to borrow money from friends and family with promises to pay it back. But, even doing the math on how much I would have to pay each month to pay people back in a reasonable time, I don't think I can make ends meet. Although I have some savings, this surgery is putting me back substantially, but I couldn't just let my pet suffer.
