What Happened ?

On the morning of December 31st the Flores family was driving down from Tennessee to Naples to celebrate the New Years with family. Unfortunately while heading down 8-year-old, Mayorlin Flores, was killed in a multiple-vehicle crash on I-75 in Lee County. The crash happened in southbound lanes at 6:37 a.m. at mile marker 125 (between Daniels Parkway and Alico Road). The crash involved a semi-truck driven by a 40-year-old Naples man, a white sedan with one male driver, age 30 of Tampa, and a grey sport utility vehicle in which the Flores family was traveling in. The family was stopped on the inside lane due to traffic congestion, north of Corkscrew Road. The empty semi fuel tanker was stopped in front of family, on the inside lane due to traffic congestion. The sedan failed to slow for stopped traffic ahead. The front of the sedan collided with the rear portion of the sport utility vehicle which resulted in the death of Mayorlin, and the severe injuries to the other family members, including the mother, father, and 5-year-old little sister. The 5 year old sister was quickly transported to a hospital in Miami to treat bleeding within the body and is still currently fighting to live. The parents were treated in a Fort Myers hospital and have many fractures within their bodies.

What will the money be used for?

The money raised from the Go Fund Me will be split up to used to cover the costly medical expenses from the family members, and will also go towards putting little girl, Mayorlin, to rest. Any amount of money is appreciated and we are deeply grateful for any one who donates.
