Help pay for Asylum Seeker Idris's medical care

I am doing this fundraiser for my cousin Idris Hasri.

On Friday 21/07/2023, Idris was getting off the train in Belgium, where he was pushed and fell back on the train track hitting the back of his head. Idris suffered major blood loss and was immediately put into an induced coma to avoid further damage.

Just like many asylum seekers Idris doesn't have any family in Belgium. After the incident Idris's roommate contacted his older sister Safa who lives in Perth, Australia.

Safa, a single mother, was concerned about how she was going to afford to travel and stay in Belgium or pay for the huge medical bill she will expect to pay to save her brother's life. Nevertheless, she quickly travelled to Belgium to be by his side. This is when I realised they will need help from our community to overcome this difficult time.

Idris has been in an induced coma in hospital for over 2 weeks now and so far had 2 life-saving head surgeries. We are yet to find out the extent of the damage caused by his injuries.

However, doctors have advised that he has a long road to recovery as he will require more surgeries as well as ongoing care and rehabilitation. Unfortunately, due to Idris's asylum seeker status, he has NO health insurance to cover the cost of his medical care.

We are appealing from the goodness of your hearts to help us raise the much needed funds to save his life. Every little contribution helps. Your generosity will help pay for his Medical care as well as keep his sister safa by his side for as long as required.
