Unfortunately Louis got really poorly in the night and he went blind and deaf and was unable to use his arms or legs. The tough decision was made for his sake as he had lost all his quality of life. All donations are still appreciated as we are left with his vet bill.

Hey everyone. This is Louis my auntie’s cat. He is currently in a 24 hour vet in Manchester in intensive care due to having a serious infection and fluid in his heart and lungs.

A back story on Louis - When my auntie was suffering seriously with her mental health she did some charity work in an animal rescue to help take her mind off things. Louis was in the rescue and she bonded with him straight away. She would constantly send pictures and videos into our family group chat of her and Louis when she was volunteering. She loved him so much that my grandma bought him for her as a well done for her progress and they have been inseparable ever since. It’s like they rescued each other.

He’s been her support throughout her hardest and darkest times and he’s like her therapy cat. When she went through a rough patch at the start of the year and she went to stay away for three month he was the biggest support for her son too.

Louis came in last night poorly and was struggling to breathe they took him to emergency vet and they have said he has a build up of fluid around his heart and lungs. He is currently in an oxygen tank in the vet and is in intensive care. He’s on antibiotics and has no white blood cells left due to how hard he’s fighting and the vet said he is touch and go. we don’t know what has caused this and it was a shock for the whole family.

The bill so far is £4000. The vet has said if he doesn’t get any better he needs a CT scan to investigate further which will increase the bill to £6000.

Louis is so loved and cared for and we really want him to make it through and we want to be able to carry on with his treatment.
