Help pay for Patricia's after-life expenses

I love that picture. My grandmother generally didn't care for alcohol, but she did enjoy a frozen margarita on occasion. We have a lot of good memories with her.

The hospice nurse just told us that she is expected to pass at any moment. We are going to miss her greatly. She touched the lives of so many people, and was an extended grandmother for many of my sister's friends.

The original plan was to donate her body to science, per her wishes, and we thought that the arrangements had been made. Unfortunately that turns out not to have been the case, as donations must be arranged 30 days prior to death, which was never done despite our belief to the contrary.

This has left us in a situation of having to cover her cremation and other expenses, which we cannot afford. The money we are asking for will cover the following costs:

Cremation: $1395

Obituary $500

Cost of Death Certificate $9 for first, $7 for any additional one. We need at least 7 in total, bringing our total cost of those to around $50

The cost of an urn. which is unknown at the moment, but we will definitely be going for the best looking urn we can get for as cheap as possible. Nothing elaborate.

In total, that comes to just under $2000, not accounting for taxes. The rest we are asking for is a cushion to cover any unexpected expenses that may come up. Any unspent funds will be donated to charity in my Grandmother's name.

As per my grandmother's request, we won't be having a service.
