Help Pay for Services for an Amazing Man

Hi, My name is Amanda and I'm doing this fundraiser to assist my parents in a time of need.

On June 30th, 2023 my father went into a pre-op appointment to get ready for his knee surgery. We received a call that afternoon telling him that they would have to put his surgery on hold as there was something found in his lungs that was seen on his chest x-ray and it needed to be looked at further. He was scheduled for a CT scan on July 3rd, 2023 and they said he should hear back from them with the results on July 5th. He received the call that there was cause to cancel his surgery and he needed to go see Pulmonary immediately.

We spent the following two weeks going back and forth to many doctor appointments including a biopsy, PET scan, brain MRIs and more. We returned to Pulmonary on July 24th, where they did inform us that my dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Small Cell Carcinoma lung cancer and he needed to be seen at the cancer center without delay. They referred him and on July 26th, 2023, my dad was informed that his cancer was in his lungs and has also spread to his liver and his lymph nodes. The type of cancer he has is very aggressive and fast spreading.

He was told then, that due to the advancement of his condition, he was given 3 months to live.

3 months.

Within 3 weeks, I went from preparing to help Dad after surgery to helping my dad make final arrangements, write up his will, and plan for services. This has been one of the hardest times of my life.

I'm asking for donations to help cover the cost of his services, as well as help take the burden of a month of household bills for his family. He is the main source of income with his disability and once passing, it will take a little while to get things set up for his wife.
