Help pay for vet bill to remove an 11lb tumor

We here at Animal Control made the decision to have the tumor removed. It was impeding her so much and it was very difficult for us to care for her. So, off she went to Leominster Animal Hospital this morning. By 3:30 this afternoon she was good to go. The fatty tumor weighed a whopping 11lbs and she will need to go back for a second surgery because more needs to be removed. The poor girl, who we named Melly, only weighs 39lbs herself. Imagine having to drag that thing around. We would also like to thank the wonderful staff and the surgeon who took great care of Melly. We just love our friends at Leominster Animal Hospital! And little Miss Melly is quite the celebrity as everyone recognized her from our Facebook post. Melly was obviously very grateful and gave everyone kisses.

We still have to hold Melly for the 7 day stray hold, at which time we will be looking for a rescue to transfer her to.
