Help Pay Lawyer Fees for LGBTQ Film

Hi, my name is Gen Dietzel and I am a co-writer on the feature film You're So Pretty, an LGBTQ+ dramedy that focuses on the relationship between two women and healing. I co-wrote this film with one of my best friends, Brianna Bier, after leaving a toxic relationship in order to cope with what I was experiencing. Through thorough research and support groups, I found that a lot of the things I experienced were universal across all age groups, and it made me realize that it was up to me to break the cycle. What began as a story of "what could have been" turned into a story of "how things should be".

Act I of You're So Pretty is set up like a rom-com. Two women get swept up in a whirlwind of a "perfect" relationship. In Act II, this "pretty" relationship begins to unravel and both women's inner demons are exposed. In Act III, both women are focused on healing and doing what is best for themselves. It focuses on therapy, friendship, and accountability.

As a lesbian who has always been very confident and open in my sexuality, I was never able to relate to the heart-wrenching coming out stories, and I always wanted to see the realities of our relationships represented in media, and during the COVID-19 shut down, I found myself unemployed and very inspired to write the kind of story I wanted to see.

As a team, Brianna's heart evened out my dry humor and cynicism, and we were able to craft a story that we were proud of.

Currently, You're So Pretty is sitting on the desks of several streaming studio executives, but we had to put a halt to our campaign because we ran out of money, and this is where you can help! We'd love to create a little community around our passion project of a lifetime, and we would be eternally grateful for any support you can give as we try to navigate these difficult times financially.
