On Monday the first of June Richard and Jake (the dog) were victims of a hit and run.  Jake was hit and killed while Richard was sent to the hospital with multiple injuries. Richard has three fractured ribs on his left side and a fractured vertebra in his neck. When he arrived at the hospital he had a collapsed lung. After two night's in the ICU Richard was able to leave the ICU and go to a normal hospital room. On Thursday Richard's lung reinflated and he was able to return home with his family. On June third the man who was driving the car was arrested.
