Help PDA Rise from the Ashes of the Eaton Wildfire

On January 7, 2025, our beloved performing arts theater, Public Displays of Altadena (PDA), was tragically destroyed in the Eaton wildfire. PDA was more than just a venue; it was a home for creativity, courage, and community. Since its founding in 2022 by stage performers and clowns Claire Woolner and Kevin Krieger, PDA had grown into an alternative micro theater that welcomed performers of all types and walks of life. From experimental theater to daring comedy and heartfelt storytelling, PDA became a safe space where people could push boundaries, express themselves, and connect.
Our dedicated team—including facilities manager Budd Diaz and social media manager Max Charbonneau—worked tirelessly to make PDA a haven for artists and audiences alike. Together, we built something extraordinary: a vibrant, inclusive space for everyone.
Now, we’re asking for your help. We need support to cover expenses including seed finding for a new venue, refunding future bookings, but most importantly, we want to take care of our employees and ensure their well-being during this difficult time. With your generosity and time, we pledge to rebuild PDA and come back stronger, more resilient, and ready to serve our community once again.
Your support will help us honor what PDA stood for and allow us to continue creating a home for artistry and belonging. Thank you for helping us keep the spirit of PDA alive.
