Help PDX activists travel to stop line 3
Donation protected
Extinction Rebellion Portland is organizing folks to go to Minnesota in March to stand with Indigenous water protectors to stop line 3, of the Enbridge tar sands pipeline, currently being built across Indigenous lands and waters. We raised $7000+ for the water protectors and raised awareness through our film showing of Necessity. Now the task is to send people to Minnesota. There are a number of Portland activists who need financial support for transportation, lodging and food during the week and a half of the trip. This is the critical time for this pipeline fight. Traditional wild rice areas, supposedly protected by treaty, are being destroyed. Over 200 bodies of water will be crossed by the pipeline which would carry dangerous tar sands oil into the US and beyond. If you can't go to Minnesota to physically stand with the water protectors who have been camped there for five months, please donate and help send Portland activists there. Our folks will leave at the beginning of March, so please donate this week. Right now this is the most important climate fight in the US. Thanks so much for supporting this effort.
