Pearl the Peking Duck has been painfully crippled since birth with twisted joints from slipped tendons. She was raised with her sister Lucy and 5 chicks who think Pearl is their mother. Pearl struggles throughout the day needing assistance to eat and drink and gets particularly stressed when her siblings leave her behind because she cannot keep up. Pearl now has a chance at a normal life by having surgery to remove her crippled feet and then be fitted with prosthetics so that she can walk and run like her sister Lucy!
