My name is Autumn Vickery, I am 17 years old. I am an older sister, in grade 12, and I dance whenever I get the change. If I'm not climbing, painting, or hanging out with my people (which is just my boyfriend), I am usually always reading. Let that be fantasy, dystopian, romance, YA novels, and mystery. It makes me happy, and lets me escape from the reality for just a bit. I grew up in a difficult family with a messy divorce, but I was lucky not be caught in the middle too much like my other friends. I grew up hearing from my friends how their family would hurt them, and I desperately wanted to help them, even though I was only a kid. So growing up I tried everything under the sun to help, and now that I've grown up I have learned about women's centers and other places that are actively trying to help, and I want to help actively too. That's why I want to do a charity event for my capstone, I could've done something supper easy like talking about an essay I wrote. But I am choosing to do something hard, and I hope you will donate as much or as little as you can.
These funds will be donated through go fund me so I can track the donations and determine the winner of the award for individual and organization that donated the most (yes there is an award!!). Then after the walk and final donations I will donate all of these funds to Pearlspace in Squamish, BC.
