Help Peggy Cover Move out Fees due to Alzheimer’s
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Charles Lawrence and I’m fundraising for my Mother, Peggy Lawrence.
My Mother Peggy Lawrence was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s 4 years ago around the pandemic. Unfortunately, it progressed fast making her medical needs increase. Since she currently needs 24/7 specialized care, she moved to an Assisted Living facility in Alexandria 3 weeks ago.
Peggy Lawrence is in need of funds to cover her moving out fees at her apartment complex. The termination fees equals 4 months of rent.
My Mother’s small savings ran out covering the cost of a nurse that took care of her M-F. Without help from relatives, my Wife and I were the only ones with the responsibility of caring physically, logistically and financially for my Mother. We covered overtime pay for the nurse when we were unable to care for her on the weekends, groceries, $500 a month for medication not covered by insurance, and others. All of these expenses have slowly drained our savings as well.
Now, my Mother is living in an Assisted Living facility where she is safe and receiving the level of care she needed. We are left with several medical bills to cover for her, including the penalty for breaking her lease (4 months of rent), and many other costs.
Those familiar with Alzheimer’s understand how hard, painful, and traumatic it is to care for a loved one with the desease. Me and my Mother Peggy Lawrence have no one else helping us in these difficult times. It has been a lonely road. We would appreciate your support of any kind to keep moving forward.
Thank you!
