Help Peggy Smith Fight Breast Cancer with Love and Support

Hi Everyone,

My name is Erin Sloane, I am Peggy’s oldest daughter. As many of you know, the strongest woman I know my mom, Peggy Smith is courageously battling breast cancer. This summer, she was diagnosed and has already undergone a mastectomy, the removal of five lymph nodes, and is now in the midst of grueling chemotherapy treatments, with radiation to follow.

This has been an incredibly challenging time for our family. My parents, both retired, are facing not only my mom’s health battle but also my dad’s recent major heart treatments this summer. The medical expenses are mounting, and the road ahead is filled with ongoing costs that are difficult to manage on their own.

My mom is a fighter, and she’s doing everything she can to regain her health not just for herself, but for all of us who love her. Recently, she’s had to be hospitalized between chemo treatments for blood transfusions, often requiring overnight stays. Despite the pain and exhaustion, her strength and spirit continue to inspire us every day.

My parents are the most humble, kind, and giving people I know. They’ve always been the light in my life and the lives of so many others. Now, it’s our turn to give back and support them during this difficult time.
