Help Penny Landrey's Recovery from Gunshot
Donation protected
Hi- my name is Nancy Campshure, I am writing on behalf of my younger sister Penny Landrey. On February 1st while in her car Penny was shot in the head by her ex-boyfriend.
Fortunately she was able to close the garage door and block her attacker, an act that helped save her life. That incredible action, neighbors that quickly called 911 and the immediate and heroic response from a Post Falls Idaho police officer who gave immediate medical aid to stop the bleeding and keep her breathing until the arrival of an ambulance and the excellent care received at Kootenai Hospital are the reasons Penny is still alive.
Miraculously, the bullet just missed her brain. She is still hospitalized after spending 2 weeks in ICU, and undergoing 3 surgeries in a week. Her jaw is still wired shut.

In what will be a long road to recovery, Penny is facing lots of rehab including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and mental health therapy to deal with the devastation of PTSD. She'll have medical bills, repairs to her car and needs hearing aids replace. Money raised will help to pay the mountain of medical bills already racked up.
Penny is our sister, mother, cousin, aunt, grandmother and friend. She's determined to create a new, life out of her personal tragedy. Any and all help is welcome to support Penny recover from this catastrophic attempted murder to create a new, better reality with hope, healing and love.
