Help Penny Sirota & Frankie Sottile after Wildfire
Donation protected
Our dear friends Penny Sirota and Frankie Sottile lost their home in the Glass Wildfire. The fire destroyed not only their house, but nearly their entire community of Monan’s Rill in Santa Rosa, CA.
Please help Penny & Frankie as they begin to move on from this trauma and figure out what the future will bring.
Penny and Frankie spent many years working to make children's lives better, with Penny as a Science Teacher at Rincon Valley Middle School and Frankie as Executive Director the St. Helena-Calistoga Boys & Girls Club. Frankie has been involved in local biking groups. Penny is appreciated for her work helping to steward the local the watershed/forest with the Friends of the Mark West Watershed, as well as her embrace of African drumming and community mediating work.
While Penny and Frankie are not planning to return to rebuild on the land, the Monan's Rill Community that they have been a very involved part of for 28 years will always be dear to them. For more information about Monan’s Rill, please check this link for an article that was recently written about them. https://madelocalmagazine.com/2020/06/a-rill-runs-through-it/
There is also a GoFundMe for Monan's Rill as they face a massive rebuild- 11 of 12 homes were lost there.

FYI:
This GoFundMe has been set up by long-time friend and fellow fire survivor (2017) Jill Dawson for the benefit of Penny & Frankie. The goal is to lighten the trauma of this life-changing fire, by alleviating some of the financial impact and supporting them, as they have supported so many.
(The funds go directly to them and I have no financial stake or access to the funds.)
