Help people in need feed their pets
Tax deductible
Hi, my name is Jonah and I am raising money to benefit the pet food pantry at The Friendship Center in Chicago, Illinois. People love their pets and want to keep them, but sometimes they can’t afford to take care of them. Pets are companions and family members. They make people feel better when people are sad or lonely. My two dogs make me feel happy when I feel sad. I believe that people should have access to help taking care of their pets if they need it.
The Friendship Center fosters hope and dignity in our community through access to food, vital resources, and critical social services. The mission of the Friendship Center's pet food pantry is to keep people and their pets together. It does this by providing pet food and supplies to people having financial difficulty, "so no one is forced to decide between caring for themselves and caring for their companion animals. Pets are family members, too; sometimes they are the only family a person has." The pet pantry serves hundreds of pets per month. It also helps people find lower cost vet services.
I am organizing this fundraiser to help the Friendship Center maintain the pet food pantry because it is a really important resource for people.
