help people with mental illness

Around 450 million people globally are affected with a mental illness. I want to make a non profit for peer support globally.Peer support are people with lived experience of mental illness who are in recovery and help others struggling. It has proven to lower hospital admissions and increase quality of life. Having lived experience with mental illness, and working 2 jobs as a peer support worker, I want to take peer support into another level. I would hire peers with various languages to help other people around the world that are struggling with their mental health and offer programs and therapists as a next stepping stone.

Less than 5% of people with mental illness have access to peer support.We are very lucky to have that intiative in canada but its still growing and other countries do not have it yet. I want to motivate and instill hope in everyone affected with a mental illness and let them know there is still a chance to get better and live their life.

It will be a website that connects the user to a worker through webcam chat sessions up to 30 min and it could be a simple cost or it could be relied heavily on donations. im not sure yet.

The money will be used to build that website and registring in within canada and all mainly for non profit use.
