Help Pepi fight stage 4 lung cancer!

Many of you know Pepi and her loving nature and big heart. She is a devoted mom to her son, Paul-Simeon, who just started his first year at Cal Poly San Louis Obispo and a dedicated RN providing crucial care to her hospice patients. Pepi has always cared for others, and now it's time for us to help her take care of herself.

Two months ago, Pepi received the devastating diagnosis of non-small cell stage 4 lung cancer the day after she moved her son into his college dorm. A very long battle lies ahead, but Pepi is determined and ready to fight. Her goal is to be able to see Paulie graduate from college, and we are ready to get her there.

Pepi is not one to ever ask for anything and was even hoping to continue working and caring for her hospice patients while receiving her own immunotherapy treatments. We created this GoFundMe so that she can put all of her focus into fighting cancer. All funds raised will be sent directly to Pepi to cover medical expenses such as transportation, infusions, co-pays, and much more. She is the sole provider at home, and any support is greatly appreciated.

My name is Nicki, and Pepi is my aunt. Her career path is an excellent example of my aunt's willpower (and one that I think of often). In Bulgaria, she was a well-respected and trained physician's assistant. Once she immigrated to the USA, her degree was not recognized, and she had to return to school. I remember countless nights when my aunt was hunched over her textbooks learning English, studying for her degree and RN license with a newborn baby. Determined to provide a good life for him. I know that she will use that same willpower and strength to fight lung cancer.
