Help Peter get his home fixed and stolen items returned

Hi, I am Graham Carter and I am fundraising on behalf of Peter.

Peter (41) lives on a 12 metre houseboat off Coochiemudlo Island in Brisbane’s Moreton Bay. He is a hardworking and friendly individual who has had a run of incredible bad luck and needs help. In December thieves broke into his houseboat and stole everything that wasn’t bolted down – all his tools, spare parts, boat-building materials, storm covers etc. They even took the bilge pumps and hydraulic steering assembly. The tools were needed for his livelihood so he is now unable to work.

Rough seas a few nights later punctured a hole in the hull of his boat and without the means to pump the water out, the boat sunk, with the rough sea sweeping away some of the cabin sides. The boat was then refloated but to cap it off, his e-bike was then stolen, and now, the outboard on his dinghy won’t start and needs repairs.

The houseboat is his only possession and it’s his home and form of transport, so he desperately needs to fix it up but he has no money left.

The money received would be used to fix his boat up, repurchase the items that were stolen and start working again.
