Help Peyton Thrive: Overcoming Medical & Life Challenges

On Tuesday, October 8th, my daughter Peyton was admitted to the hospital for dehydration and a bowel obstruction. Peyton was born with several conditions. She has Dandy-Walker Malformation; because of this, she is missing a part of her cerebellum. This causes delays in her motor function, speech, ability to crawl, and walk. She also suffers from Trisomy 18, which also causes severe delays. She is non-verbal and has issues with her nervous system regulation. But she is a FIGHTER!

Peyton has suffered for her two years of life with failure to thrive and has struggled with weight gain and staying hydrated. She is currently receiving the best care she can get; we are working on keeping her hydrated and have finally been approved for a G-tube, and we are going to be scheduling her surgery in the next few days.

We are asking for help as I (her mom) am unable to work full-time with my daughter in the hospital, and there are bills that are going to be stacking up on us while we wait for my daughter to heal from this. We will also be needing to buy medical equipment to make sure that Peyton will have everything she needs to thrive with her new feeding tube., making sure she is comfortable in her clothing etc.

My husband is so amazing during this time and is staying home with our other child. Knowing that my family will not need to worry about bills or food during this time will help us to focus our attention on our child's health first and foremost.

I know God is in control and that He will heal my daughter and keep her safe during her surgery.
