Help Phil, Kelly & Vinnie after floods.

Hi there, my name is Sarina. I’ve set up this go fund me for my brother, (Phil) sister-in-law (Kelly) and nephew (Vinnie 13) who have just lost almost everything in the Brisbane floods.
After living in the same house for about 15 years they had to move as the house was sold. They found a place that they hoped would be their home for a long while (Kelly hates moving). They collected the keys on the 21st February 2022. It had a huge closed in area downstairs that was advertised as being great for storage. That was perfect because Phil works with electronics and always has fridges, computers, TV’s and the likes around. Over the course of a few days they moved everything and it was all downstairs to go through and sort before being put away. You know the story, we all do it when we move.
On Sunday (27 Feb) they got woken by the neighbour at 4am and told they needed to go now if they wanted to get out. The water was rising fast.
Phil took Kelly & Vinnie to their daughter’s place and managed to get them some clothes to take with them. By the time he got back (within the hour), he couldn’t get to the house anymore and there was nothing he could do. He had only the clothes on his back. Downstairs there was washer, dryer, fridges, computers, projectors and screen, ALL his electronics tools and so much more.
They had not even been there a week and everything was gone and the house is unliveable. Turns out the place is a known to flood. One of only 6 in the street that flood but nobody thought it might be important to let him know. Worst part, no insurance !!
Phil’s a pretty positive kind of person and he won’t necessarily like that I’ve set this up but I figure that it can’t hurt. Everyone needs a hand up occasionally and it’s going to be impossible to replace everything. He won’t even be able to work without his tools, some of which cost thousands of dollars each.
Every little bit helps so even if you can only spare $5, that would be awesome. It would really be appreciated.
All money raised will go directly to them to help replace clothes, tools (an oscilloscope alone is worth $2,500). Fridges, washer, dryer, freezer, TV etc.
If you can’t spare anything, if you could just share this page, that would help so much.
