Help Phil stay at home after the loss of Penny

Hello, My name is Jillian Becker, and I am hoping that you'll be able to help me. Evelyn "Penny" Wellette was my mother in law. She passed away suddenly on July 30th 2024. My husband Jeff and I are raising funds to help the love of her life, Phil Pietrowicz, continue to live comfortably, in the home he shared with Penny, as he continues his Hospice home care.

When Penny died, Phil lost the love of his life, his best friend, and full time care taker. Phil has stage 4 liver cancer, and has been on Hospice home care for almost 2 years now.

Unfortunately, without Penny's income, Phil is in a terrible situation. His Social Security does not even cover his rent and national grid bill, and his food stamps are minimal.

Again, unfortunately, Jeff and I are unable to help him financially right now. And because he had round the clock care when Penny was alive, he now needs more nursing care than is provided by Hospice, and we can not afford the cost of private duty nurses.

So I am turning to you. All of Phil's friends, Penny's friends, and our friends for help. Over the years Penny and Phil have helped so many people. Their kindness and love for their friends and family always at the forefront of their hearts and minds. Phil would literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Anything will help. Even the smallest of donations will still help us take care of Phil's needs.
