Help Phil to continue to fight cancer

In March of 2022 my father Phil Cammarata was diagnosed with stage 4 colon and liver cancer. He is a retired 2nd Grade Detective with the NYPD where he did 23 years on the job. He has also been a youth hockey coach for as long as I can remember. The cancer is due to his time working at ground zero during 9/11.

During the next upcoming year, he did as well as anyone could have hoped for given his condition. Battled through all of the chemo treatments and still lived a relatively normal life. Still being able to take part in playing with his band and running the music get togethers they would have every week. Able to to my nephew's baseball games and doing it which a smile on his face. Through how well his chemo went things were looking up in everyone's eyes.

Once he was taken off chemo and began the different medication was when the decline began. This then turned into him not receiving treatment due to him not feeling well. 2 months had gone by when he had no treatment only to find out the worst a day before Father's Day this year. Due to intense stomach pain and being taken to the hospital, we found out that his liver levels had become too high for treatment and the doctors had written him off medically. Upon leaving the hospital they placed him in hospice and leaked out to my mother that he may have 2 weeks to a month to live.

With all this being said he is not ready to give up and neither are we. We have found alternative methods of treatment that although costly, are showing signs of helping him. It is showing signs of him getting better possibly. Due to the expensive cost of these treatments, we have found ourselves reaching out for any help we can. My father is a fighter and isn't ready to give up, so anything that can be contributed is appreciated beyond what words can describe.
