My name is Gage, and I just lost my grandpa, Phil Turner.

He died suddenly and unexpectedly from cardiac arrest in early June, one day after his 41st wedding anniversary. Our family is devastated by this loss, and none of us really know how to go on without him.

His widow is my grandma Denise. She has been fighting pancreatic cancer, and Grandpa was her primary caregiver. He was by her side day and night while she goes through chemotherapy to try and shrink the tumor so it can be removed, since right now it is attached to a major blood vessel and can't be operated on.

The chemo treatments have been difficult for her, and she has been very sick. After several months of treatment, we found out they haven't been working well, and the tumor is getting bigger. She had just switched to a new type of treatment that might work better, but is more expensive, and she is worried how she will pay for them. She is also losing half of her social security benefits, and it will all be too much to bear with ongoing medical costs.

We know without a doubt that Grandpa's only wishes would be for Grandma to be taken care of, and to continue her treatments so she can get better. He loved her so much. I would like to ask for a little help, if you can, so she can continue her chemotherapy and have her surgery, and to cover the costs of Grandpa's funeral so she doesn't have to worry so much.

They mean a lot to me, and I really hope she can get better soon. He was her life, and I'm really hoping she can get through this without him.
