Help Philip Overcome Osteosarcoma and Thrive
Donation protected
Hi I am Robert Esterbrook, I am trying to raise money to assist with our son, Philip James Palpita's medical expenses. Our son was diagnosed back in January of this year with Osteosarcoma. He is our youngest of six children.
His story started with being the 1st in his class in all grade levels his highschool years, including becoming covaledictorian at Mt. Tahoma High, and eventually attending UW of Seattle. Like other high achieving teenagers, he set high marks for all he got involved in, sports, academics, and even joined the Washington Army National Guard, becoming a Paralegal and graduating 1st in his class last September.
He had started noticing a pain in his right knee back in 2022 after completing Army Combat Training at Ft. Jackson SC. He continued to do his regular routine, volleyball, HS Cheerteam, and eventually going to Ft. Gregg -Adams in VA, and graduating Distinguished Honor Grad at the Paralegal Academy. Then this past October, the pain got severe where he finally sought medical advice and was diagnosed with his current illness.
Even with his Chemotherapy starting in January, he still didnt let this get in the way of his drive to attend school. He is currently still holding a full schedule online during his therapy session, as well as when he had his above the knee amputation. So, instead of being like every other freshman in colllege, he is battling this illness and still has the drive to complete his therapy as well as attend what ever classes he can. He plans to attain his Doctorial Degree in Oncology, and hopefully with your help, his medical bills will not hinder his plans to pursue his future emdeavors.
Even with the medical insurance, we, his parnets have for his care; the prosthetics he will need wont be fully covered as well as the rest of his therapy, physical, occupational and chemotherapy will still wage a large burden on the finances. So, with your generous support, he may be able to continue to complete his journey and become a Doctot of Oncolokogy to hopefully one day help other children in need, and find a way to beat cancer.
Thnak you from our family to yours, and may the Lord Bless You All!!!
