Help Pi Kappa Alpha in Their Effort to Support Rocky Cares
Donation protected
Hello, all!
The brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha at Virginia Tech are excited to support Rocky Cares during our spring philanthropy week! Rocky Cares is a nonprofit organization created in memory of Raquel "Rocky" Elardo, a one-of-a-kind young woman who lost her battle to Ewing sarcoma cancer in February 2024. The nonprofit strives to honor Rocky's legacy by raising awareness and funding for Ewing sarcoma research and also provides an annual scholarship(s) to seniors at Heritage High School in Leesburg, VA (Rocky's alma mater), that embody her qualities of intelligence, athleticism, and kindness.
This cause is particularly important to us as one of our brothers, Luke Howard, was friends with Raquel throughout middle and high school. In his words, Rocky was, "an extraordinary friend and sister that inspired those around her through her radiant personality." Furthermore, brother Drew Lampl attended Heritage High School and has helped support Rocky Cares since it began.
Please consider donating and sharing this GoFundMe so Ewing sarcoma can be cured!
All proceeds made throughout the week will be given directly to Rocky Cares.
