HELP Pie On The Mountain Rebuild

Kate (5’7”) clearing out the dishroom. The line of muck on the wall behind her head shows how deep the water was in Pie.
All the items floated, turned over, swirled around and then were deposited in chaos as the water receded.
Hey folks, Tim and Kate Arscott from Molley Chomper Cider, here! We need your help to reconstruct an anchor and one of the longest standing businesses in our community: Pie on the Mountain.
Pie is owned by Matt Cordell, Kate’s brother. Continuously operating since 2009, Pie has survived fire and COVID and now needs help to recover from a devastating flood due to Helene.
If you have ever been to Lansing, NC, chances are you have had Pie on the Mountain! Honestly it’s hard to mention Lansing without Pie coming up. The restaurant is well known and loved throughout our region, with some customers willing to drive hours for the food.
Please consider contributing help Matt Cordell and the Pie team with reconstruction and equipment of the restaurant! All contents and much of the interior were destroyed!
Also a note from Mitchell Britt from Krankies Coffee and Devotion Cider: We have been lucky all these years to have fresh, quality food in a pretty remote part of the world. It’s often the first stop when bringing friends and family to the area.
I cannot even begin to tell you how many mountains of pizza boxes I’ve seen carted away from Molley Chomper and Old Orchard Creek… the many lunches and pizzas in the park while daydreaming about fishing
It’s hard to imagine Lansing without Pie.
Yesterday Lansing looked like a war zone but the energy felt like that of a loving community.
Like many of the businesses in Lansing water levels rose 5-6’ inside the restaurant and completely destroyed the place. Floors still need to be removed, more clean up needs to be done, dehumidifier’s are needed, and the beginning stages of rebuilding process have begun.
Please consider taking time to make a donation to help Matt, his family, staff and friends make it through these trying times.
