Help Piebox Farm Rebuild And Expand Chicken Flock
Donation protected
Piebox Farm is a small diversified farm in northeastern Pennsylvania looking to rebuild and expand our flock of chickens. We have a large and growing garden with a variety of vegetables, an herb garden, bees, rabbits, and until recently, over forty chickens.
Unfortunately, we have lost twenty-five of our previously forty-eight chickens to a predator. We are looking to both replace the chickens we have lost and expand our flock while building and reinforcing better-protected enclosures for our chickens. The predator has been dispatched and with spring right around the corner, we are hoping to move quickly in raising new members of our flock. Any support you could provide in this effort would be greatly appreciated!
What you’ll be funding:
Building a new secure run around our established chicken coop.
Building a new reinforced movable chicken tractor including cattle panels, roofing, lumber, chicken wire, jacks, and wheels.
Purchasing four dozen new chicks of mixed, heritage, and multi colored egg laying breeds and raising them to laying age.
The ability to continue to provide affordable eggs to our community using organic feed and humane practices with the skyrocketing cost of both eggs and chicken feed.
We’ll provide updates here as we begin the rebuilding process. You can also follow our progress or contact us on instagram and facebook @pieboxfarm. Thank you!
