Help Pina Martucci's battle for her life!

Thank you for taking the time to read this. As we find ways out of this pandemic, we know these have been challenging and heartbreaking times for everyone. Pina is the rock of her family. She is a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and any other title that you can imagine. With incredible wit and a great love for the Golden Girls, Pina has a heart of gold, embracing everyone with open arms, and always ready and willing to lend a helping hand.

Now Pina needs help. After a few weeks of feeling unwell, visits to different hospital emergency rooms, and being misdiagnosed, Pina was diagnosed on May 1st with Leukemia. For the last 2.5 months, she has been receiving treatment in hospital. After two rounds of intense chemo, there has been no success in putting her into remission. She remains upbeat, even though the news she’s received is devastating.

We are aware of these tough times as family members. The best method to help is through a GoFundMe account. The funds will go towards saving the life of a great woman. We also want to raise awareness about this form of cancer. No one should have to suffer, but many do as a result of these difficult circumstances.

The family is currently looking into a clinical trial at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas, in the hopes that she may be accepted and get back on her feet (remission). The initial consultation and appointment cost $64,000 USD (roughly), after which the doctor must provide their approval for treatment.

In the interest of transparency, the initial funds are to help pay for the consultation. We are hoping and praying for a favorable outcome. Subsequently, the funds are also for any additional medical and living expenses. We will continue to provide updates. Pina’s spirit carries her through these difficult times. However, she needs help to give her a fighting chance to beat her prognosis.
