Help Piotr Glowacki

Piotr is from Poland and in his adventurous attempt for a world record journey on a 50cc scooter. On this attempt he has been through Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Korea (among many other places). Apocalypse Scooter Club has been hosting and helping Piotr with repairs so he can continue on his journey, his bike broke down in Calgary around April 22nd and we've spent the last few weeks sourcing parts, tearing his bike apart, reassembling, testing, getting him back on the road a week ago only for his bike break down in Kincaid Saskatchewan where one of our club members drove out to rescue Piotr and bring him back to calgary to once again repair his bike.

Piotr and our club members finally got his bike repaired from this catastrophic failure (cracked engine crankcase) yesterday and Piotr was anxious to get rolling at last as he was weeks behind on his goal to make it to Prince Edward Island.

Unfortunately only 40km out of Calgary he was struck from behind by a vehicle, and to all of our understanding lucky to be alive, but is suffering with broken bones and will be requiring surgery to treat his injuries.  We are all very impressed with Piotr's resiliance to adversity and amazing positive can-do attitude. We are hoping to raise money to cover medical bill expenses.
