Help me back on my feet after totaling my hearse
Donation protected
12/20 Edit: I managed to get back to Denver, but the van needs a lot of work. I was so lucky with the hearse that I was able to just throw a mattress in the back and stay warm and safe enough. I pulled up the rubber mat in the van and saw that the floor of the cargo area is rusted through to the ground in many places. I need to treat it and install a replacement floor before I can make it safely to my next job.
Since it's been asked many times, the car in front of me (a mid-size SUV) broke suddenly, and I could not stop suddenly enough. I tried so hard to stop my car that I broke my foot on the brake pedal.
12/3 Edit: I got a van that needs some work. Unfortunately I cannot work with my broken foot and I'm surviving on the kindness of others. This experience has restored my faith in humanity. Current donations are going toward gas to get to Denver, where I have a trusted mechanic, and toward van repairs.
Hi! I'm Pixie, a traveling rennie. I was living in my hearse and I crashed my home. If anyone has any resources available to help me get back on my feet, it would be greatly appreciated.
I have felt more myself out here and it hurts so bad and I'm so afraid of losing my freedom.
The car is gone and I broke my foot, so work is going to be slim.
I have friends out here helping me heal and stay warm.
