Help Pochi Get Their Lifesaving Service Dog Trained

Hi i’m Lexi, or more commonly known as Pochi.

I am 31 years old and have been struggling with clinically diagnosed Depression, Anxiety, BPD, Autism, Hallucinations, Disassociations, Chronic Migraines, and PTSD for a long time. I have tried countless therapies and medications, medical marijuana, none of which have worked as i've needed them to be. This has had an incredibly negative impact on my quality of life. Leaving me unable to work, go out in most social situations, and just over all being able to function from day to day. I have now got my dog, Sata. I have been given the initial approval for her to be a ESA (Emotional Support Animal), but my psychiatrist has said as long as my disability goes through (I am at the hearing phase now.) she can be reclassified as a Psychiatric Service Dog.

This is where everything begins. We picked up Sata (Andoggie) on May 29th, she was born February 04, 2024, making her 4 months old. She will need a vet visits/chipped and basic training till she is old enough for her service training (8 months) (Basic to advanced training will be close to $400-800.). Which will make it much much easier on me and Gir later. The vet visit i'm unsure so far the estimated cost, but she will need another round of puppy shots as well as basic testing and chipping. There is also basic supplies we still need to help keep up with her training. So everything helps.

The most basic service training is at minimum $5000. It will likely be close to $8000 (if not much much more.) for everything when all is said and done. They will be trained for things like panic attack detection, deep pressure therapy, item/medicine retrieval, Grounding, Tactile stimulation, Harmful behavior disruption, Crowd distancing, hallucination alerting, and a lot more.

This will make my life so so much better. This is a lot I know. But it's one more step in my recovery and improving my health. Not only do I appreciate it, Gir does as well. So thank you!
