Fire relief to Help Pola and Sokha endure in 2021
UPDATE: 3/5/2021 - It may be 4 - 6 months before they are able to reopen.
They are being asked to continue paying rent, even though the store front provides them with no income. They are being asked to pay out-of-pocket for the renovations so that someday, insurance might reimburse them. Apparently every item in the salon must be replaced. Contractors and permits are in high demand and limited supply.
The stress of this situation continues to increase with each day as living expenses continue to pile up.
Please contribute, if you can, to help this family get through the spring and summer.

2020 has been a rough year for Pola, Sokha and Today's Hair in College Park, a well-loved establishment in our community.
Now in 2021, further devastation has befallen this family and their employment, when a fire broke out on the roof, causing significant damage and requiring them to temporarily shut their doors. See Diamondback RE: THE FIRE
For many in the community, Pola, Sokha, Steven and their skilled staff have given haircuts for our many important events, like job interviews and the first day of school. More importantly, they are a kind family, with welcoming smiles and big hearts that bring warmth and talent to the Route 1 neighborhood.
--All those haircuts you never got during 2020?
--Add it up and pass that money their way!
Let's support Pola, Sokha and team to cover lost wages, as they sift through insurance paperwork, pick up the pieces and and decide where their journey will take them next.
Disclaimer: This GoFundme was orchestrated by me, Mary Warneka, a long-time patron of the establishment, but all the money collected here will go directly to Pola and Sokha.
