Help Poppy with vet bills
Donation protected
Our wonderful and caring next door neighbour Lynn is 81 years old. This morning while walking her chihuahua Poppy, on leash, another dog that was off leash attacked Poppy. This happened in the field of Eric Langton Elementary School at 8 am on April 9. The owner of the German Shepherd quickly left the scene, leaving Lynn weeping and holding her tiny dog with a broken leg.
She immediately took Poppy to Dewdney Animal Hospital, into the caring hands of Dr. Adrian Walton, whom she knows from her time volunteering at the Maple Ridge SPCA. The animal hospital has very kindly given her a significant discount. However, Lynn is a pensioner, and will not be able to afford the rest of the bill of $3000.
She rescued Poppy from the SPCA 2 years ago when her other dog Fiona was nearing the end of her life. Since that time, the neighbourhood has enjoyed chatting with Lynn on her many daily walks and tickles with Poppy.
Lynn is a beautiful soul with a kind heart and a love of all animals. She is facing a significant bill that she will be unable to afford to heal her best friend. Any help you can give will be put towards the vet bill. Any extra will be donated to the SPCA of Maple Ridge. All help to get this little girl healthy is very much appreciated.
Thank you
