HELP PORFELL WILDLIFE PARK AND SANCTUARY

HELP PORFELL WILDLIFE PARK AND SANCUTARY.

Our animals need you now more than ever!  Please help save our animals here at Porfell Wildlife Park & Sanctuary.  After being closed all winter, the park was due to re-open for the season from April 1st 2020, however due to the COVID 19 we have had to keep our doors closed.  After 31 years we are in trouble, our summer season brings in enough money to keep the park running throughout the winter.  Unfortunately this year due to the weather we were unable to open for more than a couple of days during February Half Term.  Unlike a lot of other businesses we always have outgoings whether we are open or closed, whether that be specialist animal feed, water bills, electric & heating bills, veterinary bills, staff wages and everything in between.  So we have set up this appeal in the hope of getting some help for our animals and staff so that we can survive until we are able to re-open again.

We are quickly running out of money that we desperately need to feed our animals and pay our keepers.  April is usually quite a rewarding month for us to start the season with.  All of our animals are rescued, some really old, all enjoying their twilight years with us.  As many of you know, no one wants old animals, so euthanasia is the only outcome for them should we have to close completely.  Please, please help us to save them if you are able to, we completely understand that this is a hard time for everyone so even if you cannot help financially please show your support by sharing our Go Fund Me page with others.

About Porfell Wildlife Park & Sanctuary:

Founded by Joy Palmer and the late John Palmer in 1989, they created homes designed to suit each species individual needs.  A family run attraction in South East Cornwall, Looe.  It offers a sanctuary to many different animals from around the world.  They might have been neglected, injured, imported illegally or simply no longer wanted.  For what ever reason they come to us, they are always welcome and every single animal is given a HOME FOR LIFE.

We house over 150 animals ranging from Zebra, Eland and Ostrich to Marmosets, Reptiles, Owls, Capybara, Coatis, Meerkats, a range of Lemur species and so on...

To keep the animals fed and warm and to support our keepers, we have estimated a minimum running cost of £20,000 will see us through the next few challenging months, with your support we can do this!

Thank you to everyone who supports us and continues to through this tough time.
