Help Port Jeff restaurants feed hospital workers

The Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and its restaurant community are teaming up to deliver trays of food on a daily basis to workers at Mather and St. Charles hospitals. But they need your help. Community news website GreaterPortJeff.com is sponsoring fundraising efforts for the restaurants involved, to feed the frontline workers for as long as they can throughout the coronavirus crisis. The participating restaurants are as followed: Barito Tacos & Cocktails, Danfords' Wave Seafood & Steak, Pasta Pasta, Port Bistro & Pub and Slurp Ramen (others might follow). These efforts will provide a way for the community to say thank you with an extra special meal to these extraordinary committed employees who are working tirelessly during these challenging times. The campaign will also help support our local restaurants. Michael White, the founder of GreaterPortJeff.com, created this campaign and is publicizing it. All moneys are being directed to the Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce for distribution to the local restaurants for their food and services.
