Help Posey Family with home & medical bills

Donation protected
Hello my name is Betsy Posey, I’m blessed to be Tim Posey’s wife for 26 years and pray many more years to come. However, on Friday June 14, 2023 Tim went into the hospital for a routine knee replacement surgery on his right knee. Unfortunately there wasn’t anything routine with what happened with Tim’s health. Tim was expected to stay over night after surgery then be released to go home, instead he needed another day of rehabilitation so he stayed another day. On Sunday June 16, 2023 I headed up to the hospital to bring Tim home however, when I arrived Tim was experiencing severe abdominal pains that would just worsen as the day went on. It was decided Tim should stay in the hospital for another night to determine the cause of his pain. I received a call at 1am Monday June 17, 2023, advising me the Tim had a CT scan done, which found Tim had a hole in his lower stomach & bowel causing Tim to become very septic. The surgical team was called in to perform emergency surgery to try an save Tim’s life. Once his surgery was done I received a call advising Tim was placed in the ICU with his condition being very unstable critical condition. Tim had to be placed on a ventilator and placed under heavy sedation by 5pm I was informed Tim needed to be moved to a Shock Trauma hospital it was his only chance for survival. Once my sister and I arrived at Shock Trauma we were sent to the waiting room for CCRU (Critical Care Respiratory Unit) to met up with one of the doctors from the unit. At this time we were informed the Tim was only breathing by the assistance of the ventilator and he had to be placed on dialysis due to his kidneys not functioning properly. This is when I received the dreaded question “What are your wishes for Tim if his heart stops?” Tim’s odds were grim to even make it through the night, but he’s still fighting a currently listed at critical but stable condition. We just had a meeting with the surgical staff member advising that Tim’s road to recovery is still looking at 4-6 months of hospitalization and rehabilitation. Before this tragedy Tim was our main source of income, while I’m currently disabled do to my tremors & back issues. I’m in the process of filing for disability. Tim is a hero in the eyes of my son and me, as well as my best friend. He is a great father and husband, I get asked often what are Tim’s favorite interests & hobbies an there’s a simple answer it’s his family. He loves spending as much time as he can with both his son and me. I’m hoping to raise as much as we can to cover not only Tim’s medical bills but also our monthly bills, without Tim’s income Wyatt & I are at risk of losing our vehicle which is our only source of transportation to the hospital and our home. We are humble and appreciate any help we receive at this time, the circumstances were completely unexpected and we’ve exhausted all other resources.
