Help Financially Post Heart Transplant
Donation protected
Hi there, I’m Olivia and I’m 28 years old and on Sept 2023 I was hospitalized and diagnosed with end stage heart failure from an unexpected unknown genetic pathogen. I spent the next month in the hospital and had two major surgeries at the end of Oct - a double impella pump to get on the transplant list and then a full heart transplant. I spent a few weeks recovering from surgery and was released mid-November.
This whole time I’ve been out of work and haven’t gotten a full paycheck since September and am currently in limbo waiting for approval on paid leave/disability and per my medical team I won’t be considered for work approval again until MAYBE early Feb but probably not until May next year due to my immune system/appointments/procedures/recovery.
I’m also trying to pay off the piling medical bills while also trying to figure out how to pay for my daily expenses. It’s also only going to grow the next several months as I still will need frequent procedures and dr appointments I need to co-pay on as this is a very crucial and vulnerable time for transplant patients.
Anything financial-wise would really take some stress off my plate at the moment and help me focus on recovering and taking care of myself during this time, and help me pay off some of these current and upcoming medical bills or help pay for my anti rejection medications or my rent/other daily bills.
Anything helps and is deeply and greatly appreciated, thank you for reading!
