Help Preserve Lucy's Memory and Support Her Family

I'm Kevin Resler, oldest son of Lucy M. Akers. I'm looking for donations for a headstone and help to pay for cemetery plot. i have it set up and ready just got to raise enough. With all the love she has shown us all, I believe she lives on in our memories and our hearts forever.

She was a kind soul who always forgave and blessed others with her kindness and friendship. She will truly be missed, but she lives on in us all. She has battled and fought and never gave up. She passed down so much and brought us so much joy and love in our hearts with laughter and truth. She will be missed and never forgotten. She was amazing and the best mother and mamaw we could ask for. She always had an open ear and smile to give. We will forever be grateful and cherish the time spent in her presence.

She was a light in this dark world for her children and grandchildren. Thank you so much, mom. Can't wait to see you again. We are so blessed and thankful for your love and spirit. You made us and gave us wisdom, hope, and understanding. You also gave us comfort and peace. Her final week, she knew and we knew, and we all felt it in all our hearts. So carry on, no more cancer, no more pain. Live free and watch over us and let us hold you in our hearts and minds forever. Love you so much.
