Help Preserve Omi's Story: A Memorial Video Project

Donation protected
In 2017, I began a deeply personal project: interviewing Omi about her incredible life before she started her family. As you all know, Omi grew up in Germany during WWII and faced extraordinary challenges with resilience, love, and strength. Her stories offer profound insight into a world that shaped her character and values—qualities that she passed on to her children and grandchildren.

This was my first time using professional video and sound equipment, and although I captured her stories, I have not been able to bring them to life through editing. I am not trained in video editing, and the raw footage has remained untouched for eight years. Now, as we prepare for Omi’s memorial service in March, I want to complete this project in her honor.

The funds raised will go toward hiring a professional video editor to:

- Organize and edit the raw footage into a cohesive narrative.
- Enhance the audio and visual quality for clarity and professionalism.
- Create a heartfelt video that captures Omi’s legacy to share with our family and friends at her memorial.

This video will serve as a lasting tribute to the heart and soul of our family and ensure that Omi’s stories are preserved for future generations.

I’m asking for your support to help cover the costs associated with this project. Every donation will bring us closer to completing this cherished tribute to Omi. Your generosity will allow me to honor her memory and share the incredible woman she was with all who loved her.

Thank you for helping me preserve Omi’s legacy and create a video that celebrates her extraordinary life.
