DREAM BIG: HELP PRIMARY SCHOOL PHASE 2

Tax deductible
To help kids like Ivan, we are building a new classroom building at HELP Primary School. Ivan is one of the 250 children living and working on the streets of Masese that with your help, we can bring back into the classroom and give them a chance to succeed. Can you help us make Ivan’s dream a reality?

Help us bring 250-300 children into the classroom
We know we can help change the fortunes of children like Ivan, and our generous funders agree. That’s why a group of HELP Primary School supporters are matching every dollar donated to this campaign till we reach our target of $100,000.

Help us keep the progress moving forward for the hundreds of girls and boys that we are preparing to live a productive life and develop their communities.

What your donation supports:
  • Establishing our second classroom building,
  • Increasing daily meals delivered through our meals program, and
  • Employing new teachers for a larger student body.

The Need:
We want to build on our success. The success of our first building campaign has encouraged us to expand our efforts to the many who are still in need; street kids begging in the streets and searching through trash heaps for food, unemployed adults needing training to develop skills that will lead to secure employment, and women seeking a trade to support their single parent households.

The Goal:
Our goal is to enroll 250-300 more children in the HELP Primary School and increase the number of vocational opportunities on our campus. To support this objective, we will need to employ more teachers and build another building. We have been very fortunate that a donor help fund this goal by challenging us to a $100,000 matching gift.

Our Past:
Since 2009 we have been cultivating a movement to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and hunger for the present and future generations of the refugee village of Masese, Uganda. In 2009 we started the HELP Primary school with 39 students and 1 teacher. Currently we educate 550 students supporting grades nursery to primary 7 and offer training courses to adults from tailoring to computer application certifications. Over these 14 years, we have saved over 800 kids by providing daily nutritious meals, medical care and education. The proof of our success is that 250 students have graduated and gone on to secondary or vocational schools. We are a 501(c)(3) public charity focused on eradicating poverty through education. We employ over 30 Ugandans in our project.
