Help Pro Detail Recover From Devastating Flooding

Hello, I'm William Castro, the owner of Pro Auto Detailing. Today, I find myself humbly asking for your support as we navigate through one of the toughest challenges our business has ever faced. Our journey has been one of resilience and determination, and now, at a critical crossroads, I'm reaching out to you, our community, for help.

For nearly a decade, Pro Auto Detailing has been a fixture in North Andover, serving our customers with unwavering commitment and passion. We weathered the storm of the pandemic, enduring months of closure when we were deemed non-essential. Through that difficult time, we managed to keep our doors open and our dream alive. We are not a business that gives up easily.

However, the recent series of unexpected and devastating floods has brought us to a point where we must ask for help. I'll admit, asking for assistance isn't something that comes naturally to me. But when faced with the possibility of losing a business that means everything, I'm willing to put aside my pride and do whatever it takes to ensure Pro Auto Detailing survives and thrives once more.

The flooding hit us with an intensity that was both swift and overwhelming pushing past our door. Within moments, our unit was submerged in over 14 inches of water, carrying with it more than just liquid destruction. Carts, shelves, and tables that held our tools, machines, pads, and towels were overturned and drowned in mud and sand. While we managed to salvage some of our cleaning chemicals, our towels, pads, and a significant portion of our machines were lost.

The response from the detailing community and partners has been heartening. Rupes, in a remarkable act of generosity, provided us with some equipment to help us get back on our feet. Additionally, the detail community, recognizing the gravity of our situation, has also extended their support by contributing a portion of funds that greatly aided in covering the cleanup costs.

However, we have a long road ahead of us. The costs of cleanup have been substantial, and the downtime during repairs to our building, and those surrounding us, is stretching longer than we could have anticipated.

We've hit a roadblock with insurance and state aid, which remains uncertain. This is where we need your support. Every dollar raised will go towards rebuilding our business: replacing lost equipment, restocking supplies, and covering the costs of repairs and lost business due to closures. Since the devastating flooding on the 8th, we've been hit 2 more times, albeit not nearly as bad the storm on the 8th. These images are from the last flooding event on the 18th.

I want to express my profound gratitude for considering contributing to our cause. Your support not only helps us reopen our doors, but it's a testament to the spirit of unity and resilience that defines our community. If you've ever enjoyed a sparkling clean car from us, or if you simply believe in the power of small businesses, I kindly ask for your help.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being a part of our journey.

Sincerely,
William Castro
