Help Prodigy and Family Rebuild After Fire

Hi, my name is Prodigy, and I’m a freshman in college. I’m not usually one to share personal struggles, but I need your help. A month ago, our home was devastated by a fire set by a 16-year-old arsonist. This tragedy has displaced 43 people and resulted in the heartbreaking loss of three beloved pets.

When we returned to our property, we discovered that nearly everything we owned was destroyed by fire, water and mold damage. Our home was on the bottom floor, which made it especially vulnerable. We were only able to salvage a few items we grabbed during evacuation day, and it’s been a devastating loss.

I lived with my two disabled aunts, who are currently staying in a motel, struggling to find stable housing. We owned four electric wheelchairs, but two of them were lost in the fire, along with crucial medical equipment, documents, pictures, and more. I have been staying with my girlfriend, who lives with her brother.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have renter's insurance, which means we are solely responsible for all our expenses during this difficult time. We are reaching out for support to help cover the costs of rebuilding our lives and finding a new place to call home.
