Help Produce Horror Film "The Leaching"

Hi, I am Evan Showalter, writer/director of The Leaching.

"The Leaching" is the third film I have made as an independent filmmaker in Chicago. My other two films are titled "Ante Mortem" and "Bad Music Terry," both of which are now in festivals. Donations will be used to support Chicago actors, create life-like special effects, build immersive sets, rent equipment, and pay entrance fees to festivals and screenings.

Plot Synopsis

After waking up in a grave on her father's isolated forest property with no idea of who she is or how she got there, Vivian must use her limited memory to piece together the nightmarish truth, all the while being tormented by the undead, a giant leech monster, and her "father." Over the next few days she will uncover the framework of a truly nefarious supernatural scheme, but will it be too late?

Looking Forward

"The Leaching" will be filmed in September 2023. However, this is my most ambitious project yet, by far, so the official release is slated for fall of 2024. This is why we need your help.
