Hi everyone! We are coordinating our first ever medical mission trip to India this November. For those of you that don’t know us, I’m Amber Antle and I am a flight attendant by day and a Registered Nurse in between! I’m Smriti Banthia and I am an electrophysiologist/cardiologist by day and passionate about equal care and prevention! We hope that this will be the first of many trips…
Our mission: Serving in the communities of India to provide equal medical care in terms of diagnostics and testing and basic medical treatment to the underprivileged and connect to local resources for further advanced treatment. Learning about the daily struggles and accordingly seek solutions for the villagers most in need.
We have identified need and set up camps in two cities:
Tamkor, Rajasthan clinic: We will be working with the NGO Acharay Mahapragya Sewa Sansthan for the space and provide/donate all necessary diagnostic equipment.
Nalanda, Bihar clinic: We will be working with Nalanda University and will be joined by the solo physician who cannot keep up with the volume of those who cannot afford care.
Within these clinics, each patient will be triaged by the nurse, have diagnostics including cardiac testing with the physician, and then accordingly be provided with medications, necessary medical supplies, and preventative education.
Town leaders have also identified a few families in each town that we will perform home visits to assist medically as well as with other needs!
This is all provided to them free of charge, but we could use your help! We are in need of funds to purchase necessary medications and basic supplies to bring with us over to India. All funds raised will go towards supplies and improving the local resources for the villagers. Every penny counts, and no amount is too small! Please help us to serve the underprivileged population of these towns and provide them with the care they need! Thank you for your time!
