Help Pro-life friend, Ellie!

Hi, this is Sam (@pro-life_sam). I’m hosting this GoFundMe for Ellie because she really needs our support right now. She was recently in a vehicle accident where the other person was fully at fault but had no insurance. She unfortunately doesn’t have uninsured motorist on her own policy so now any expenses will be out of pocket and she can’t afford to repair her car. Her car isn’t only her only mode of transportation but she also drives for a living. She needs her car for her livelihood.
I have known Ellie for years thanks to Twitter. She is so kind hearted and always helping others when they need it - she is the type of person who truly deserves support from this community. Let’s help Ellie get her car fixed! That’s what community is all about.
She’s received a rough estimate of $3000-$3500 and will update us with an official estimate soon. I just listed this as $3500 for now because it would be amazing if we could help get her a rental during the repair time too so she can continue working.
Here are the accident details for those who didn’t know: “On November 9, as I was driving down the street, where I had the right of way going about 35 mph, a red car came out suddenly in the middle of an intersection about 10 feet in front of me. The car had been trying to turn left and pulled out in front of me where we collided. It was incredibly scary. The other vehicle is completely uninsured and was issued a ticket for that. I was unaware that my policy did not include uninsured motorist coverage but I did add it when I filed the claim. It is basically up to the discretion of the adjuster whether or not to use the uninsured motorist coverage for the accident because it was added after the fact. It is likely that I won’t receive anything from my insurance company and this is devastating for me. I was working full-time as a delivery driver for Instacart, door dash, and waiter but I now no longer have a car to be able to work. Right now I live in Mississippi but I recently enrolled back in classes at a school in Georgia for the spring semester starting in January and I was saving up to move when this took place. I not only don’t have a way to make money now, but I also will likely have to use my savings for my living expenses now. If you have it in your heart to help me, I would be so grateful. Most of the money will go toward my car repairs but the rest will go toward living expenses until I can start making money again. Thank you for your support during this time. It means so much.”
