Help protect children of Siargao after typhoon
Donation protected
Hello,
I am helping my friend Sanne to raise money to help children and families after a super typhoon hit their island in December. Some money was raised straight after it happened but they need continued support to help feed the children and rebuild their homes.
Every donation, big or small, will help these children get a few proper meals each week and I would be forever grateful if you could help.
Thank you,
Jonna
Background and info about the charity Sanne is running (set up to help out already before the super typhoon hit):
Mid December, 2021 Siargao Island in the Philippines was hit by a super typhoon, destroying everything in its way. 90 % of all houses got wiped out and 15,000 families lost everything. Among them who suffered the most were the children. Not only did they lose their homes, but all sense of security and normality vanished when the surviving parents tried to rebuild their lives, shifting focus from their kids well-being to surviving the day. Suddenly there where no more guarantee to eat cooked food, nor to play in a safe area or access education.
Nature Kids of Siargao works everyday to change that. As of today we are cooking hot meals for hundreds of children every week, offering a safe space for play time and helping many families rebuilding their homes. We need your support to be able to continue.
Nature Kids of Siargao (N.K.o.S) is a registered non-profit organisation that started 2013 by Sanne Sevig, Swedish nationality. Since its start it has involved thousands of children and its families in both livelihood, educational and supportive projects. Some of the pre-typhoon project that was running was "Siargao Recycling Art Studio", "Kids eco-hero educational program" and "A.T.E. - A women empowering sewing atelier".
Sanne says: 'We aim to re-build and re-open all our projects but we are depending solely on private donations.'
She continues: 'Our immediate aid projects such as the kids kitchen, creating new homes and protecting the children on Siargao is truly making an impact on our kids lives. I am grateful we are on site to be able to help as efficient as possible, making sure every donation ends up where it suppose to be.'
N.K.o.S believes in 100 % transparency and announces every donation and how it is spent online.
